Gerard Walker, MSc Economics, B. A Economics ( Honours), set up his labour market consultancy - Future Jobs-Skills-Work Insights in 2017. My focus is on Irish and European Skills Policy, Evaluation and Economic analysis assignments.
My previous role was as Senior Policy Advisor with the Irish Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, working in the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs. Previously, I was a senior policy advisor for the government policy body for science, trade, and technology. Before that, I was a Policy Advisor with the National Economic and Social Forum under the Department of the Taoiseach (Prime Minister Office), responsible for economic, skills and social policy reports. I managed labour market research with the Irish Training and Employment Authority". I have manufacturing management experience in the semiconductor and telecommunications sectors.
